Mildred "Midge" Y. Hastings

November 28, 1936 - December 30, 2023

Mildred Yvonne Roberts, known as Midge to her family and friends, was born on November 28, 1936 in Weeksbury, Kentucky.

Her life wasn't always easy-but you wouldn't have known it. Her strong desire to succeed is what carried her through life. She was a woman of strong morals, values and grace. Many knew her as a God-fearing woman that stood upon a foundation of faith.

At a very young age, she moved from Grundy, Virginia to Burbank California, which would seal her destiny in meeting the love of her life.

Shortly after meeting her husband, Earnest "Dale" Hastings- they married on December 30th, 1955. It was within the next year, on November 20th that they welcomed their first child-Dale Ray Hastings. A few years later, they welcomed a daughter, Tammy Lee Hastings (Warden) that would complete their family.

She was a professional, who worked for the Baird Neece Packing House as a bookkeeper. She loved her colleagues she worked closely with for over 35+ years.

In 1983, her daughter Tammy would marry Timothy Lawrence Warden-within the next few years they would bless her with three grandchildren; Tanner Lawrence Ray, Tyra LaDawn and Taylor Lance Warden. In her lifetime, she was fortunate enough to also enjoy her five great grandsons; Teran (17), Easton (17), Brycen (16), Taite (15) and Teagan (5) Warden.

Along with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren she took pride in everything they accomplished from awards assemblies, dance recitals, sports competitions to graduations. She loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren immensely.

In fact, she loved being a grandmother so much that she decided to give more children her love by becoming a foster grandmother at Olive Street Elementary.

On December 30th, 2023-on what would've been her 68th wedding anniversary, she entered her eternal life greeted by her loving husband-Earnest Dale Hastings, son-Dale Ray Hastings and grandson-Taylor Lance Warden.

A Visitation will be held at Myers Chapel in Porterville, California on Wednesday, January 10, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A Graveside service will be held at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Porterville, California on Thursday, January 11, 2024 at 10:00 AM.
