Maria De Jesus Guzman

It is with great sorrow we announce the passing of Mary Duron Guzman. Mary, a resident of Terra Bella, Ca, went to be with the Lord on December 14th, 2022, at the age of 71. Mary was a devoted wife, loving mother, and grandmother. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Mary was born on February 3rd, 1951, in Laredo, Tx. to parents Marcos and Constancia Duron. Mary along with her family later moved to Poplar, Ca. where she attended Porterville High School. Mary left school after completing the 10th Grade to help her parents and siblings at home and at work. Mary assisted her family in the agriculture business, working in the surrounding farms and orchards of Tulare County, Gilroy, and San Jose.
On September 25, 1969, Mary married her husband of 53 years, Hilarion V. Guzman. They resided in Woodville, Ca. up until May 12, 1975, when they purchased their home in Terra Bella, Ca. Together they had two children and six grandchildren. Mary was a kind, caring and giving person who always put the needs of her family before her own. Mary was a strong woman who faced every challenge in her life with courage and dignity. Mary loved spending time in the kitchen, cooking delicious meals, sewing, and spending time with her grandchildren. Mary enjoyed reading the Bible and attending church regularly. Mary worked many years as an electronics assembler for Beckman Instruments before medically retiring.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Marcos and Constancia Duron, and her brother Oscar Duron. Mary is survived by her husband, Hilarion; Son, Eric; Daughter, Mariela; Daughter-in-law, Valerie; 6 Grandchildren; Ashley, Julian, Adrian, Marissa, Jonathan and Justis.
A Visitation will be held at Myers Reception Hall, 248 N. E St, Porterville, California on Tuesday, January 3, 2022, from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A Service will be held at Myers Reception Hall, Porterville, California on Wednesday, January 4, 2022, at 11:00 AM. Interment to follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park, 1013 E. Olive Ave, Porterville, California.
