Linda Carol Maddox

Entered into Eternity: August 12, 2023

Linda Maddox went home to the Lord on Saturday August 12, 2023, at the age of 81. Linda was a caring and loving woman, who throughout her lifetime, devoted herself to her family and those around her.

Linda was the only child of Paige & Jessie Cheadle.

After the passing of her mother Linda acquired a step mother Martha and 3 step siblings: Donnie, Ed & Linda.

Linda graduated from Porterville High School in 1959.

In September of 1960 Linda married Bob Maddox and had 62 wonderful years together. Together the were blessed with 4 children: Cheryl, Doug, Darren & Kevin. Linda was a devoted wife, mother and later a grandmother. She enjoyed traveling, spending time with her family, camping and baking. Linda's favorite place was Huntington Lake where she frequented as a little girl with her parents and later she shared her love of Huntington Lake with her children and grandchildren.

Linda worked in the school systems as an Instructional Aide Assistant for Terra Bella Elementary from 1971 to 1979. And then Alta Vista school from 1981 until her retirement in 1998.

Linda and Bob were devoted members of the Porterville Church of the Nazarene for many years. Often involved in Sunday School Class events.

Linda's loss will be felt by many who love and adore her. She is survived by her husband Bob Maddox. Step Brother Donnie Jarvis. Her children Cheryl Seitz, Doug (Anthony) Maddox, Darren (Tammy) Maddox, Kevin (Tammy) Maddox and daughter-in-law, Michelle Miller. As well as her 8 grandchildren who she adored: Bobby, Chad, Bradley, Kristy, Amy, Shaunda, Bethany & Brittney. With that Linda was also blessed to have 21 Great-Grand Children.

A graveside memorial service will be held on Monday August 21, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Hillcrest Memorial Park (Home of Peace Section), located at 1013 E. Olive Ave in Porterville, Ca.
