Karlin Giraudi

Karlin Giraudi, 83, passed away in Porterville, California on March 16, 2025. She wasthe daughter of the late Karl and Ruth Braly Johnson.

Karlin was born in Santa Barbara, California. she was a long time resident of the Ducor-Porterville area. She was a graduate of Ducor Elementary School, Porterville High School Class of 1959, Porterville College, and California State University Fresno, where she received her teaching credential. She began her teaching career at St. Anne's School in Porterville, California and then retired after 30 years of teaching at Woodville Elementary School.

She and her husband Gary were married in St. Anne's Church in 1964, spending over 61 years together. Karlin was a Westfield 4-H leader, and was chairman of the Home Arts Department at the Porterville and Tulare County Fairs for many years. A member of St. Anne's Church, she also was a member of The Catholic Daughters, Springville Community Club, Sierra View District Hospital League [Pink Ladies], Sons of Italy Roma Lodge in Tulare, and the Porterville Chamber of Commerce, honored by the chamber in 2013 as Volunteer of The Year.

Karlin is survived by her husband, Gary Giraudi; sister, Signe Shank {Jim} of Couer de Alene, Idaho; daughters, Michelle Saunders {Jeff} of Porterville, California and Lisa Haines {Justin} of Visalia, California; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Bill and Sharon Fusco of Porterville, California; and grandchildren, Mitchell Hensley, Micaela Hensley, Brittaney Ordiway and Paislee Sipes. She is also survived by several nephews and nieces.

A Visitation will be held at Myers Chapel in Porterville, California on Sunday, March 30, 2025 from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM. A Rosary will be held at Myers Chapel in Porterville, California on Sunday, March 30, 2025 at 6:00 PM. A Private family Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Anne's Church in Porterville, California on Monday, March 31, 2025. Interment will follow at St. Anne's Cemetery in Porterville, California.
