It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jeffrey (Jeff) Chiles Carrol, age 58, who passed away at his home on Sunday, October 8, 2023.

Jeff was born on April 26, 1965, in Ukiah, California; he was raised in Sacramento but resided in Porterville for over thirty-four years. Jeff began his career as a Journeyman Carpenter and eventually became a Superintendent for various construction companies in the Bakersfield and Porterville areas. Jeff obtained his General Contractors license & started his own construction company, Jeff Carrol & Sons. He furthered his life achievements when he acquired a position as a Carpenter II for the Dept. of Corrections & Rehabilitation at Corcoran State Prison. During his sixteen years there, he received multiple promotions, ultimately achieving the position of Correctional Plant Manager II.

During his life, Jeff was a proud member of the Hopland Band of Pomo Indians. He loved to joke with his friends & family to make them laugh. He was kind and always going the extra mile to help others. Jeff was always so patient, loving and generous. He was a loved Brother of the Gospel Lighthouse Church. Jeff was a man of Faith and spoke about the goodness of God. He loved Jesus, always prayed, and when given the opportunity he would share the love of Christ. He also loved the Dallas Cowboys, fishing, camping, traveling and most importantly being with family. Everyone who had the opportunity to know Jeff, knew he was a hardworking man. He adored his wife of thirty-eight years, Sandra Carrol and was a proud father of his two beloved sons, Jeffrey and Lewis Carrol. Lastly, he loved spending all his time with his grandchildren who adored him as their Papa.

He is survived by his wife, Sandra Carrol; sons, Jeffrey S. Carrol (Bianca), Lewis N. Carrol (Noemi); 6 grandchildren; mother, Sharron Fallis; brothers, Alex Olvera, David N. Perez II and Richard Perez; sisters, Cathy Olvera and Caroline Alarcon (Adolfo). He is preceded in death by his father, David N. Perez Sr.; brother, Daniel Olvera; and sister, Desiree Orozco-Keller.

A Visitation will be held at Myers Chapel (248 N "E" Street, Porterville, CA 93257) on Monday, October 23, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A Celebration of Life will be held at Gospel Lighthouse Church (605 E. Henderson Avenue, Porterville, CA 93257) on Tuesday, October 24, 2023 beginning with a Viewing from 9:00 AM to 9:30 AM and a Service from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM. Interment to follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park (1013 E. Olive Ave., Porterville, CA 93257) on Tuesday, October 24, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM.
