Edna Lois Takakjian

Edna Pearson Takakjian, age 82, of Porterville, CA, passed away peacefully in her home on Sunday, September 28, 2025. A viewing will be held at Myers Chapel (248 North "E" Street, Porterville, CA) on Thursday, October 9, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A Service will be held at Myers Chapel on Friday, October 10, 2025 at 10:00 AM, followed by interment at Hillcrest Memorial Park.

Edna was born on July 8, 1943 in Porterville, California, to Doyle and Eudora (Ball) Pearson. She is preceded in death by her husband, LeRoy Takakjian; parents, Doyle and Eudora (Ball) Pearson; and brothers, John and Winston Pearson and sister Ruth (Pearson) Jones. She is survived by her daughter, Michelle Lambert (Kris) of Porterville, CA ; sisters, Dolly Wilson, Joanna Downum (Eugene) and Nellie Pearson; grandchildren, Paige Lambert and Candice Lambert; three great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and many friends.

Edna attended Porterville High School and graduated in 1961. After High School she became a CNA and worked at Lindsay Hospital and later Porterville Developmental Center where she met and later married LeRoy Takakjian in 1962.

She loved going antiquing, trips to Morro Bay, going to casinos, traveling and spending time with her family. She was an avid Bunco player and hosted many Bunco parties. She was known and loved by many and will be greatly missed.
