Edgaretta "Teddy" Carroll

Edgaretta (Teddy) Carroll was born in Porterville, California to parents Howard and Epsy Harris on November 14, 1943. She went to be with the Lord, on December 17, 2024 at her home in Porterville with her family by her side.

Teddy lived in Porterville her entire life, she attended Porterville High School into the 9th grade, when she had to leave school to take care of her father who had been severely injured in an explosion after her mother had passed away. A few years later, Teddy met Larry Emerson, they got married and went on to have 4 children. Neil, Nathan, Niles and Stephanie Emerson. Teddy was employed with Beckman's Instruments for 20 years and worked as an electric keyboard assembler before retiring.

She was blessed with 6 grandchildren, Tara Emerson, Collin Emerson, Jacob Emerson, Jeremiah Martinez, Arturo Martinez and Khloe (Coco) Emerson; she was also blessed with 2 beautiful daughter-in-laws, Sandra Emerson and Tonya Emerson.

Teddy is preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Epsy Harris; her husband, Clyde Carroll; sister, Ramona Gilstrap; granddaughter, Tara Nicole Emerson; and grandson, Arturo Martinez.

She had a strong personal relationship with God, she so loved the Lord Jesus Christ. She also had a great love for her church, and all of the people who attended Landmark Christian Center with Pastor Paulette Blaylock. She really enjoyed going on shopping sprees to find new clothes to wear to church, and whilst shopping in Visalia, it was also a good time to visit her favorite restaurant, 'Red Lobster'.

Teddy's life was well lived, she was a huge blessing to her friends, family and to all whose lives she touched. She will be greatly missed. Private family services will be held.
