Wesley Eugene Rockholt

Our beloved father and grandfather, Wesley Eugene “The Grizz” Rockholt of Porterville, was chosen to enter the Kingdom of Heaven on Sunday, October 10, 2021. He was born in Porterville, CA on July 23, 1935. He was 86 years young. Wesley stands in our hearts as a reminder of strength, patience, love, and compassion. Though we will mourn his loss daily, we know we will be reunited in time.
He loved the Lord and his family and enjoyed a lifetime of camping and hiking. He was a sectional commander for the Royal Rangers and a member of the Frontiersmen Camping Fellowship, where he lovingly became known as “The Grizz” over years of fireside chats, jokes and fellowship.
Wesley is preceded in death by his parents, Clifford and Anabelle Rockholt. He is survived by his wife, Mary Rockholt; son, Clifford E. Rockholt; daughters, Renee Mortensen and Kristine Hill; brother, Doug Rockholt; 5 grandchildren, Star, Kandie, Pandi, Brittney and Valerie; and 5 great grandchildren, Daisy, Clay, Renee, Bronson, Johannes and Wesley.
A graveside service will be held at Hillcrest Memorial Park on Friday, October 29, 2021 at 10:00 AM.
