Justino Agustin Galang

JUSTINO AGUSTIN GALANG, age 89, of Porterville, CA, passed away
peacefully on Wednesday, October 27th, 2021, surrounded by his loving
wife and family. He was known as “Tino” to many, but as “Tang” by his
children, and “Ingkong” to his grandchildren.

Justino was born on May 14, 1932, in Pampanga, Philippines, to Hugo and
Emiliana Galang. He married the love of his life, Cecilia Cunanan Hill, on February 24, 1958. They shared 63 wonderful years together and were
blessed with 14 children. He was a man of faith and devoted to his duties as a proud member of Iglesia ni Cristo.

In 1983, Justino migrated to the USA to Long Beach, CA and relocated to
Porterville in 1984 where he worked in janitorial and maintenance at
Hacienda Convalescent Hospital now known as Sierra Valley Rehab Center for 16 years. He was known by his colleagues for his humor, his tireless energy, and hard-working mantra.

He is survived by his loving wife - Cecilia, his sons - Reynaldo, Fernando, Ronaldo, Renato, Wilfredo, Eduardo, & Ferdinand, his daughters - Luzviminda (Capulong), Esmeralda (Lumanlan), Corazon
(Palad), & Mylene, his many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his 8 siblings, his daughter Filipina, and his sons Ronny & Sonny.

We thank the staff at Sequoia Transitional Care for the compassion, patience and friendship they provided to Justino and our family during this past year and especially in his final days. His wife,
dedicated and devoted, was able to visit with Justino every day in the nursing home.

A viewing will be held at Myers Reception Hall, Porterville on Tuesday, November 9, 2021 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A Graveside Services will be held at Hillcrest Memorial Park, Porterville on Wednesday, November 10, 2021at 2:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, they may be sent to Myer’s Funeral Home.
