Janet Katherine Smithey

Janet (Malone) Smithey was born on August 16, 1942 in Tulare, CA. She passed away on January 28, 2022 at the age of 79.
She was a Resource Assistant for U.S. Forrest Service for 30 years and a dispatcher for CAL Fire.
Janet is survived by two sons, Donald Smithey Jr. and Darryl Smithey; daughter, Treasa Hunter ; three grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her mother, Hazel Johnson Pearson; father Jerry Pearson, five brothers; and a great grandbaby.
A Visitation will be held at Myers Chapel in Porterville, CA on Thursday, February 10, 2022 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A Graveside service will be held at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Porterville, CA on Friday, February 11, 2022 at 1:00 PM. A Memorial service will be held at St. Paul’s Anglican Church in Visalia, CA on March 19, 2022 at 2:00 PM.
